If you didn’t known this already, we finally closed the deal with our house and we’re in the process of decorticating. My studio will be the last room to get my sprinkle of good vibes on.
Here’s the plan. I’m planning to set one of the corners in the room to be a small minimal closet space for Blogging, Vlogging and displaying my dream.
So I was thinking, why not show you whats on my mined. We can compare the results in a later post when everything is in places.
I decided to create a Moodboard, I named it “Dream Closet Drafting Moodboard”. I’m making this moodboard with the help from Pinterest to plan out what I want to do to my small corner and how it will look like. If you’re looking to decorate your place, this would be a great tool to have your hands on and have some space to express your imagination.
Because it is a closet decoration, I came up with 5 different sections that you should keep in mine when creating this moodboard. I’m going to explain to you about them one by one.
Style
This section will be about your go to style. What’s the final look you’re going for? Glamour, minimal, feminine, vintage, classic or any other idea out there that I can’t think of right now! Lol! Just go for the one you like the most!
Color
Pick 3-4 main colors that you would want to use for your closet.
What vibes or theme you have in your mine? Pinterest is a good place to go chasing all the vibes.
Pattern/ Texture
This section will help you with the feeling you want your closet to have. If you want it to be warm and cozy, you will need a nice fur rug, wool coat, knit throw and other warm and cozy elements representing that theme. If you prefer an industrial feel which is raw brick wall, straight line patterns. geometric elements, and something shiny, you will find them on Pinterest too. Just type your keywords, for example “cozy + comfy + texture” here’s what came up on my screen search.
Decor
In this section, imagine what you would want to have as your decoration pieces in your closet. I would pick some fashion quotes. Fashion Magazines, shoeboxes and plants. Plenty more ideas you can find from Pinterest that will amaze you.
Furniture
Last section is furniture. You won’t need a lot of furniture pieces in here unless your closet is super spacious. For me I will need a floor mirror, stool, hanging rack and maybe a small shelf.
Now let’s see how to create your own moodboard.
Start your project by using Pinterest like I mentioned above.
Create a board and give it a name. This board will be your main idea collecting space. Search and pin only the pictures you’re in love with. We will need to use some of them later throughout the process. Here’s my board that I created for this project. Click on the image to see more details.
When you search for pictures please keep those 5 topics in mine: Style, Color, Patterns/ Texture, Decor and Furniture. Pin at least three pictures for each topic.
After you are done gathering your ideas now it’s time to put them together. I’m using Adobe Illustrator program to create my moodbdboard. If you don’t have one, you can download their 30 day free trial version here.
After 30 days of trial if you don’t like it, you can uninstall it or just leave it there. You won’t be able to come back and use it again unless you get a membership like me. You can learn more about it here.
After you’re done downloading the program, follow the installation instructions and you are good to go.
Now it’s time to get the template I’ve created for you. You can download it right here in my online library.
Start the project by opening the Template file you’ve downloaded earlier.
Go back to the Pinterest moodoard you’ve created.
Choose the picture you want to put in your closet’s moodboard.
Have your cursor over the image. You’ll see the zoom icon. Click to make the image bigger.
Then Right click the images in Pinterest and copy.
Paste your images to your Illustrator moodboard and resize them to the size you want.
Place your image in front of the rectangular shape.
Then click on the shape you want the image to be inside, send it to the front: Object>>Arrange>>Bring to Front.
Select both the image and the shape, right click and select make clipping mask. Repeat this step until you fill the rest of your board.
Don’t forget to name your moodboard too!
After you are finished with your project, you can save the file as .png, or .jpg so you’ll be able to share on your social media or print it out as a picture. Here’s the steps to save your work:
File >> Export >> Export As…
Save As: Type your board name in this area
Where: choose the folder you would want to save your file to.
The first thing I would do in the morning and last thing I would do at night before going to sleep for these past couple of days was to check and see the news about my King’s health and wellbeing. This morning, I was doing the same but the only difference was that I saw the heartbroken news that he wasn’t with us in person anymore. The way I found out about him going back to heaven where he originally came from was from Wikipedia when I tried searching for the correct spelling of his name. I was planning to post on my social media to wish him to get well soon. I wanted to tell him that my heart and soul are with him. I scrolled my eyes down at the area that said, “Died”, I was shocked and didn’t know what to think or feel. After knowing this, my tears kept coming out, I really just couldn’t help it. All I know is that my heart was broken and until now that felling is still with me. I love him so much and I will always love him until the day I die.
If you don’t understand why our king is so important to us Thai People, please read this.
King Bhumibol the Great, the ninth monarch of Thailand from the Chakri Dynasty, was the best king for Thai people, the best and the longest king in the world who ever ruled. He was the king who cared more about his people than himself. Our King never had a day off. He worked every day and every night. He lost one eye but still worked like he had ten eyes for 70 years. He went to all the remote places in Thailand where no one ever wished to go. He helped to create an artificial rainfall to end the drought for us Thai people. He also created many more countless Royal projects, more than one ordinary man could do in his lifetime; he did to help his people without asking for anything in return.
He lived, as if he wasn’t a king. He was the most down to earth person I’ve ever known my whole life. His house where everyone called the palace is the same place where he was testing all his agricultural projects to help improve our country. He had cows and a small rice field in his backyard. He was our father and he is still going to be our father until our last day of life. He was willing to ride in the traffic with us Thai people even though he had the right to close all the roads to get rid off the traffic and to have the road only for himself. He would want to drive his own car even thought he had countless soldiers who could drive him around whenever he wanted. He taught us so many things including to be happy with what we have and to always love each other. He was the best role model in all aspects of life. There are many more things that he did for us that I can’t possibly finish talking about in one day.
On the day he was crowned to become the King of Thailand, he pledged that he would “reign with righteousness for the benefit and happiness of the Siamese people”. That’s exactly what he did and he did even more than that for 70 years.
We are lost today but we are sure the next king will be as amazing as King Bhumibol. I love my king, I’m so proud to be Thai and born under the reign of the King Rama IX. I will do my best to follow all the great things you taught. I will continue to teach my children, grand children and great grand children the same advice you gave to us all. I love you forever and ever, my greatest King, King Bhumibol the Great.
Side note for my fashion readers here: I decided to wear black and white for one year from today October 13, 2016. So I would love you to understand how heartbroken I am. I will arrange my blog a bit to be black and white for one year too. My fashion and style contents will be focusing on black and white. I hope you understand and still support what I am doing.
All my love is to you and my Thai people.
Thank you so much!
“Nature is something outside our body, but the mind is within us.” – King Bhumibol Adulyadej
Nobody knows the future! That’s why you have to enjoy every second you have and be happy at the NOW not the FUTURE!
Life, it’s kind of a scary thing because you really don’t know what will happen to you in the next second of your life. All you have to do is wish for the best and work very hard to get what you really want. What if you do everything and in the end, you never had a chance to enjoy what we call “A HAPPY LIFE”?
Let me share with you the story of our family, the worst experience that we as a family had to go through but the person who was in the most pain wasn’t all of us, it was my mother in law.
Almost two years ago, my husband and I were about to finish our dinner in our apartment in Chandler, Arizona. We got a call from his mother, she told us, she got diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. The aggressive stage no one wishes to have happened to them. She was crying, in a stage of shock, and so were we! No-one really knew what to do at that time, only prayed and made sure to always be there for her when she needed us. From that point on, everything in her life had changed both physically and mentally. Not in a bad way though. She had fought and won the battle over breast cancer.
She’s getting stronger. She understands what life is really about. She knows she should do whatever she enjoys the most in her life. She started helping a lot of people who are in the same boat as her in the past years. She always wants to have fun. She’s now loving herself more than she used to do. Because of all the chemotherapy sessions and countless sergeries she had been through, it made her become better in her own way! If you see my mother in law somewhere, and she’s going crazy about something, don’t worry she’s just having a great time!
She had told me that “No one will ever understand how she feels, even though they say they understand, she has to be strong for herself because nobody can do it for her.” I totally agree with that. It’s only you who knows how you feel.
Since she’s been through the worst years of her life, of battle and recovery, those quite times she has to be by herself, she’s realized that she has to start doing what she loves to do, something with “photography”. She started to join the photography community in town, started to study how to become a professional photographer. Not including her experience as an amateur photographer, (her photos look like they are from a magazine). She has been taking pictures her whole life from around the world and has thousands of collections on her computer and social media combined. She now wants to use those skills to help people out. She wants to be there for someone who has to go through what she’s called a “Year from Hell”, the whole full year of cancer treatment, if you can make it.
She started a non- profit organization under the name “Nadia Strong Photography Inc.” to help women going through breast cancer treatment document their journey with no cost. Not only for the cancer fighter but also for the family and friends too that can benefit from her non profit.
This month, October, is Breast Cancer Awareness month. I’m taking this opportunity to support my mother in law with her non profits organization, “Nadia Strong Photography Inc.” I’ve created 2 styles of graphic t-shirts, inspired by our cutie beagle, “Cinema”. He is one of my mother in laws favorite doggies. Also the shirts are inspired by what most people feel about Cancer but are afraid to say it out loud #FCANCER. Let the shirts talk for you!
This T- Shirt Collection, I’m designing them for someone who is cool and understands! I don’t try to be rude but like I said, only for someone who understands!
20% of the profits from this collection will go to Nadia Strong Photography Inc., not only in the month of October but all year round!!

Before I let you go today, I just what to tell you what I’ve learnt from my mother in law.
When I was in a situation that I thought was bad, I compared it to her and realized it was nothing like as bad as hers. So I just want to send this message to everyone out there who has problems in your life. Please never ever give up, you’re strong and you can do it. There are a lot more people who are in bad or even worse situations than you, you’re not alone. If they can fight it, so can you!
