I have been wanting to share with you a review on my recent found and now favorite influencer marketing related books. Influencer: Building Your Personal Brand in the Age of Social Media by Brittany Hennessy, is my new favorite book. I am so happy that I finally got over my pregnancy symptoms and had a chance to make this post happen. If you are a blogger or an instagram influencers who would like to up your game, this book is a must read for you.
This book has given me so much confidence and much needed advice. It’s given me a better understanding in this fast-growing Influencer marketing industry. I can’t thank you enough to my blogger fellow, Kamara Williams from IN THING who introduced me to this book after reading her blog post.
Because I want you to enjoy reading it for yourself, I’m not going to get into to much detail. Here are the 3 key takeaways I found helpful.
Pitch Email Template
If you are wondering about how to pitch brands and/or agencies, this book will give you the best idea on how to do it right. You’ll learn what you should and should not include in your emails, when to send a follow up email and when to move on. All of these details are on page 109.
Have you ever wondered how to make a perfect media kit or press kit to send to brands? You can find out on page 115.
Here’s another thing I found helpful when dealing with brands/ products that don’t align with your brand and when you get a non-compensation offer. In this book, you will find the best way to say “No” to brands in a polite and professional way where you still keep your opportunity open.
Crete A Blog that Describes Your Brand
This is the most bazar thing I decided to do after finished reading this book. I spent nearly 5 figures to hire a web designer to help revamp and rebrand my blogging business. In this book, Brittany, has pointed out that your blog is your door of opportunities. You have to make sure that your site is top- notch. Everything that can represent you and your brand has to be here. I mean EVERYTHING! Besides having your home page, category pages and post page, you should add your about page, partnership page and contact page. If you want to know what you should include on all of those pages, go to Chapter 4 to find out.
Social Media Influencer Marketing Tips
I love that at the end of each chapter, I can get some great influencer tips. From both the social media influencer agency to the Instagram influencers them self. Each chapter ends with an “Influencer Icon” who gives some helpful tips they used to become successful. It will give you a clear understanding on what areas you should focus on that brands are looking at. Making sure that your content is high quality and engaging, will make you more attractive to brands.
In conclusion
This Influencer: Building Your Personal Brand in the Age of Social Media won’t be the right fit for you if you are looking for ideas on how to make a blog or how to make money on Instagram. But it would be a great idea to hold on to. You might just want to know where the influencer marketing industry will take you. You will be able to find out how much you can charge for an Instagram post. That only might help motivate you to keep on going. This business is still new. It has a lot of space for you to enter, become successful and make a living out of it.
Like In the title: “A Must-Read Book to up Your Influencer Marketing Game”, YOU as an influencer will learn a lot. From different people who want to hire you, how to update your social media content game, get paid more and see the good and the bad that you might want to develop in your influencer career.
I am very new to this industry and have been blogging and Instagramming for about two years. I have learnt so much about this industry myself. From the first day, the first ever post I posted on my blog and Instagram, I have seen changes on the quality of my content. To keep my business successful and profitable, I’ll have to continue developing myself, my blog and my social platforms. You never know what the future has to offer. I need to do my best with the present and so do YOU.
I have to say thank you to Brittany Hennessy for a wonderful book! You can get your copy here.

In today’s post, I’m helping to make your fall outfit look extra stylish with a mix of formal Plaid and classic Corduroy. I have to say that I normally don’t wear a lot of business fell outfits but this outfit is definitely one of my absolute favorites for fall. I’m wearing an all plaid blazer and dress to makes this look a little less casual but I added some contrast style items such as the rust corduroy inspired ankle boots to bring down the formalness, plus they will keep your feet warm.
My whole outfit is on the lower budget side, let’s say it’s under $100 for everything except my bag that’s over $200. Since you can use my discount code”THEVIBESCLOSET15” for a 15% off your first order at Pop and Suki website it would help lower the price down for you a bit. If you are looking for a more budget friendly bag that looks similar to the one I have, you can scroll around the list I have picked for you. They are all under $70.
For a complete look from head to toe for $137, click on the plus (+) icons on my photo below to find out where to shop .

I received compensation from Dr. Scholl’s® to write this post. All opinions are entirely my own.
#advertisement I just can’t believe how time flies by so quickly. It’s hard to believe that it’s already September, which means New York Fashion Week is right around the corner.
I planned to attend a few shows this season but I ended up canceling my flights and hotel due to my pregnancy symptoms. Nothing to worry about and you guys already knew what I was going through from my August post. However, to keep our positive energies going and to keep our style moving forward, why don’t we talk a little bit about Fashion Week.
How to make your NYFW chic and comfortable
Style and comfort are the two main focuses I would keep in mind when it comes to Fashion Week. Choosing what to wear is totally up to your style preference and it can depend on what show you are attending as well. It isn’t a bad idea to wear the labels of the shows you are attending. For color wise, you can try to aim for the seasonal palette but I have seen a lot of people going for all black, just to be safe, and you won’t go wrong with that.
The most important focus that I will be talking about today is the comfort of your feet, so what would you wear for such a fun, exciting and ongoing movement like NYFW?
If you ask me, I would recommend picking lower heels or even go for sneakers. They will keep your feet comfortable enough to walk for longer periods of time. But my best kept secret and solution is to keeping your feet comfy, while at the same time killing it, is using the Dr. Scholl’s Stylish Step™.
I have been a fan of Dr. Scholl’s Stylish Step™ for quite some time. Their insoles are amazing and designed to help your feet feel more comfortable so you can look good and feel good even longer.
I use the Dr. Scholl’s Stylish Step™ Ball of Foot Cushions for High Heels on almost all of my heels. I love that I can remove the insoles from shoes to shoes. Since I love this line of Dr. Scholl’s Stylish Step™ so much, I have a spare product for an emergency use as well. The ones that I’ve always carried with me are the Dr. Scholl’s Stylish Step™ Gel Heel Liners. Now I can say hello to added comfort.
In today’s post I’m wearing the Dr. Scholl’s Stylish Step™ Extended Comfort Insoles for Flats. You can use them for work shoes, casual shoes, sneakers and of course all flats. These insoles provide superior shock absorption and cushioning for non-stop comfort and support that lasts for a full 16 hours.
The way to use the insoles is very simple and easy. Just open the package, insert insole with fabric-side up, then line up heel with the back of your shoe. Just that, now you will be able to transform your old shoes into a super comfortable pair in just a minute.
You can find Dr. Scholl’s Stylish Step™ at Target, available in the footcare aisle near the pharmacy. You can save up with the Cartwheel offer, where you can head over to this page and get your feet some love with Dr. Scholl’s Stylish Step™.
By the way, the above are my shoe preferences, if you are a lover for high heels, you can use Dr. Scholl’s Stylish Step™ High Heel Relief Insoles for your all-day comfort so you can wear the shoes you love for longer and move comfortably while looking amazing.
In conclusion, let’s make this fashion season not only stylish but also comfortable. Keep slaying and be sure to show me your NYFW inspired look in the comments. Don’t forget to pick up your Dr. Scholl’s Stylish Step™ from Target and save up with this Cartwheel offer. #DrScholls

This Early Pregnancy Symptoms: Second Pregnancy blog post is based on my own experiences. If you’re not sure that you are pregnant or not, I recommend making an appointment with your OB/GYN or your doctor to find out. Good luck and Congrats for all second time mommies to be!
I will have to say that for this pregnancy, I knew pretty quickly that I was pregnant, not like my first pregnancy that took me about 7 weeks to feel that something was going on with my body.
It was quite hard for me to find out with the first pregnancy because I had irregular periods. But after giving birth to my first child, my body adapted to having regular periods, finally!
With that being said, it should be a lot easier to find out when I get pregnant again. But life wasn’t that easy, I stopped having periods for a month and I wasn’t pregnant. I kept checking with multiple tests every few days, but the results kept coming back negative. I didn’t have any symptoms though, but just irregular periods made me think that I was for sure pregnant. Then I waited one more month to check and the pregnancy tests still came out negative.
About 9 weeks of not having my regular cycles and not being pregnant, I started to feel something wasn’t right with my body. I normally would wake up each morning with a flat stomach, but not anymore. I would even do core body workouts, but my stomach kept getting bigger! My stomach was getting filled with gas and it won’t go away. I felt so uncomfortable because I would barely fit into my jeans.
One other thing that also happened was sweating at night, when the room was super cold. These were two signs that made me think and know that I’m pregnant. So, I decided to check again and of course the results came out negative.
In my mind I knew for sure I was pregnant then, but I kept reading a few articles and they all said that the results won’t show unless you’re 5 weeks pregnant. I decided to stop checking and just wait for my period to come or at least wait a little longer for other pregnancy symptoms to kick in.
While I was waiting to check again If I was pregnant or not, these were the symptoms I was feeling:
Sweating while sleeping
In the middle of the night I had to wake up because I was sweating a lot. Even though we had the air conditioning on low, my husband was cold, I was hot. This symptom was gone by the time I found out that I was pregnant (5 weeks).
Bloating all day everyday
This was an uncomfortable feeling I didn’t experience with my first pregnancy. As you can see from my pictures above, I was 8 weeks pregnant but look how bloated my stomach was! I felt as if I were 5 months pregnant.
No appetite
I didn’t have any appetite at all, no cravings for a specific kind of food. But I just had to eat to have some nutrients in my body. With my first pregnancy I only wanted to have spicy foods and sweets. Thai food was a must in every meal. This time around, I couldn’t even think about eating.
A little cramp from here and there
This symptom happened to me before with my first pregnancy. Every time I moved quickly or got up from bed I would feel a very bad cramp. At my early stage of this pregnancy, maybe at about 4 weeks when the embryo is in the implantation process, well, don’t count me in on this because I was just guessing about the process and time! I started to feel a little cramp from here and there while getting up, sitting down, but not as bad as my first pregnancy.
Nauseous and Exhausted
I was super nauseous and exhausted than usual that I had to take a nap during the day. At first, I thought it was from my hypoglycemia problem. But it happed almost every day. I felt sick, dizzy and sometimes wanted to throw up. I actually didn’t throw up at the first stage of not knowing that I am pregnant. After I knew I was, all the first trimester symptoms started to kick in including the vomiting.
Tender Nipples
I’m still breastfeeding my daughter who is now almost three years old and it was quite hard at first. I didn’t know for sure I was pregnant, and I was wondering maybe I will have my period soon. The symptom never went away after feeding the baby unlike after giving birth to her when my body was trying to produce milk that the tenderness went away after each feeding session.
Different odors downstairs
This doesn’t happen all the time, only when I was very stressed or very tired, I would smell a smell. It doesn’t have a smelly or a fishy smell, but I could definitely tell the difference and knew that something is going on. I had this smell before at the end of my first pregnancy and that’s what led me to believe I was pregnant this time.
No period with negative pregnancy test result
Even though, all the signs and symptoms were saying I was pregnant, but the home pregnancy tests kept coming back negative, until I entered week 5 of my pregnancy. To be exact I was 4 weeks 6 days on the day I found out. Since the tests kept coming back negative, I thought something was wrong with my body. I was stressing and wanted to give up. Only because I was checking it too soon. I used all kinds of tests including the one that claims it can confirm sooner. So, if your home pregnancy tests keep coming back negative, hold on tight and wait a little longer. Or take a trip to your doctor for a medical confirmation.
A lot of early pregnancy symptoms for this second time around were completely new to me. The good part is that I don’t have the bad acne problem, no back pains, and less trips to the bathroom.
Hope this Early Pregnancy Symptoms: Second Pregnancy post helps you with your confidence and points you in the right direction. I still recommend you to visit your doctor for a blood test to confirming your pregnancy. I confirmed mind with a blood test after finding out with a home pregnancy test.
If you’re pregnant, Congratulation! If you’re in a process of getting pregnant, Good Luck!

Fall is almost here and I can’t wait for it to start! Who’s with me?
I know some of you might not want summer to end but if you live here or visit Arizona in the summer, you would know how hot it can get and you would know how desperate we want the rain and cold weather to come by. This “Fall Must Have” post might be a little bit too soon to talk since I’m living in Arizona but you guys are all around the world, why not start bringing a few fall must have items out to get ready for the cooler weather.
I picked only 3 fall must have items to start the new season with. You can either bring some out of your closet or get some new ones if you don’t want to wear your old cloths from last fall season.
In this post, the only new fall item is the sweater I got from Revolve last week. But other than that all of the items are old from last fall. I will keep this post short because I don’t want you to miss the REVOLVE GIVEAWAY I’m hosting and you can enter at the end of this post.
Knit Sweater
Knit sweater is a must have item for fall because it isn’t too thick or too thin to wear for the cooler temperatures. It can keep you warm enough when that fall wind blows your way. Best of all is that you can pretty much wear it with anything. That’s why I think it’s one of the fall must haves.
Ankle Boots
Another item I would recommend to bring out from your shoe closet are the ankle boots. Your booties will keep your feet warm, comfortable and you will totally look stylish.
Structured Bag
These types of bags have been so popular since last fall and it will be in for this fall as well. I started seeing them all over magazines. A lot of brands keep coming out with new colors and styles, you might want to get one or two for your fall closet. I actually just bought a ton of them last week. Really, I just couldn’t help myself when it comes to structured bags. I will be sharing them with you later next month on what I got.
I have picked some cool styles and colors for you here.
Those are all my fall must have items for you to start your season with. I know there are plenty more fall must have items. I’m planning to post more of them in future posts so be sure to stop by and check them out.
For now, let’s get ready for the nice weather and start cleaning your summer closet for the fall must have items.
