Either it is an emerald green dress or any other colored dress, you would be able to use my three ways on how to wear the same dress on repeat. 

Since Christmas is coming up next week and you might look to get some ideas to work around your favorite holiday clothing without wearing it the same way over and over again. Or you don’t want anyone to spot out that you just wore that dress last week! I get it! I don’t like that kind of comment either.

Trust me, I don’t like when people remember what I already wore but I also don’t like buying new clothes to try to impress people either. If you have the same problems like me, you might be interested in reading this post as I will show you how I wore my emerald green dress three different ways.

The simple rules we are doing here are:

1) Wearing it as it is with some fun accessories.

2) Covering it up with an oversized jacket.

3) Don’t wear it as a dress but instead wearing it as a top.

Instead of wearing your emerald green dress alone without any accessories, I recommend wearing it with a belt and add some sexiness by wearing a pair of lace tights. These two accessories will help draw people’s attention to them instead of drawing attention to your old dress that you have worn many times. They will surely be conversation pieces people bring up to chat about.

Covering your emerald green dress up with an oversized jacket or a long coat is another way that you can wear your dress with confidence as the outerwear will be the statement piece of your outfit. So, you don’t need to worry about people remembering the clothing that you’re wearing so many times already.

Style #3

I love wearing a dress as a top because it serves more purposes than just being a dress. A few tricks here are; 1) if it’s a short dress you can tuck it in normally as if it’s a tee, and 2) if it’s a long dress, you can fold it into half or to the right length you prefer, then tuck only the edge of the folding part in, to make your dress look like a normal length blouse, not all tuck in as it will look like you stuffed a lot of fabric underneath your pants. What Are Smart Goals

SMART Goals are goals that are SpecificMeasurableAchievableRealistic, and Time-based. They are more detailed and specific to one thing, so that it is more apparent to what you want to do. 

 Having SMART goals allows you to have a better chance of achieving your goals. When you have a very generic goal of “Be more active,” you are not giving yourself a clear way to achieving your goal.

An example of a SMART goal would be, “I will go for a walk every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for 30 minutes for the next three months.

S: Specific: Go for a walk

M: Measurable: For 30 minutes

A: Achievable: Walk every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

R: Realistic: Go for a walk, not climb a mountain!

T: Time-Based: For the next three months.

Quick Tips to Achieve Your Goals

1. Write down your goals

Do you know that when you have your goals written down, you are much more likely to achieve your goals than only thinking about them.

There was interesting research conducted in 1979 on the Harvard Business School graduating class to assess how written and planned-for goals effect later outcomes in life.

The graduating class was asked a single question about their goals in life. The question was: Have you set written goals and created a plan for their attainment? 

Prior to graduation, it was determined that:

  • 84% of the entire class had set no goals at all
  • 13% of the class had set written goals but had no concrete plans
  • 3% of the class had both written goals and concrete plans

The results 10 years later were:

The 13% of the class that had set written goals but had not created plans, were making twice as much money as the 84% of the class that had set no goals at all.

However, the 3% of the class that had both written goals and a plan, were making ten times as much as the rest of the 97% of the class.

2. Set a plan for each of your specific goals 

By setting an action plan for each of your goals will make you be more specific on what action you will have to take to be able to accomplish your goals.

It acts as a road map to your success as it will show exact steps and ways to get to your goals.

You can always adjust them as you go. 

By writing down your goals and putting them in a plan, you will be able to remind yourself and keep yourself going until you’ve achieved your goals.

    In today’s post, I’m sharing with you 5 tips to help you achieve things in your bucket list. I  also share a few photos from my last trip when visiting LA where I checked off a few items in my bucket list as well.

    This year I have been focusing on self-reflection and achieving personal goals. Now that the year is approaching an end, I have to say that I accomplished several goals and was able to cross off many things on my bucket list. I was able to attend NYFW, visit the Hollywood Sign, go to Santa Monica Pier, had lunch at the Beverly Hills Hotel, checked out Palm Springs, and went to Disneyland again with my daughters, husband, and my parents in law.

    In this post, I’m sharing with you a few photos from my recent trip to the Hollywood sign. It feels so good to see the real one in person after seeing it in many movies before. Now I am glad I can check this one off my bucket list. 

    I’m wearing the most comfortable jeans and boots from Everlane. The jacket I’m wearing I got it from Uniqlo in Tokyo last year, another bucket list trip I checked off. 

    From a business aspect, I relaunched my blog and am now working on the launch of a few more businesses.

    But the most significant achievement of all was giving birth to my little daughter earlier this year and becoming a mother of two.

    When talking about a bucket list, it is a set of experiences or achievements that you hope to have or accomplish during your lifetime.

    I’m sharing with you below on how you can quickly get started.

    5 Tips to Acheiving A Bucket List

    Tip #1:

    Start from the easy and achievable ones

    By starting from the easy and achievable ones this will help you accomplish your goals easier, and it will make you keep moving for a bigger goal.

    Tip #2:

    Stop all excuses

    I used to come up with many excuses for traveling. I would say I wanted to wait until my babies were a little older before I started to travel again. But now, I enjoy traveling with them both nationwide and internationally. They are only babies once, and it’s so good to include them on all my journeys.

    Tip #3:

    Set aside specific savings for your bucket list goals

    You can make a separate saving for each of your items, or you can set up a savings account for everything in your bucket list. 

    Tip #4:

    Make plans

    It’s a perfect way to get started by writing your list down instead of having them in your head. You might forget or never take any action towards them. Write down your bucket list and print the pictures out and put them somewhere where you will see them all the time. It’s an excellent way to have your vision and determination all at once.  

    Tip #5:

    Eliminate your fears and just go for it!

    You should try to forget about all the worries you have in mind because being fearful will never get you to where you want to be.

I love that you can layer and match each piece of your clothing together for a fresh and cozy look to keep you warm and stylish at the same time. In today’s post, I am sharing my Fall Layering Guide I have been using myself.

I love that you can layer and match each piece of your clothing together for a fresh and cozy look to keep you warm and stylish at the same time. Since I live in Arizona, I won’t be able to layer up right away when Fall arrives due to the warmer climate over here, but I will use the fall layering guide I’m about to share with you today as soon as the cool breeze comes in.

    Fall Layering Guide

    Work the Fall Colors

    Fall colors are more toned down, calmer, and subtle than summer. When incorporating earthy colors like tan, brown, and olive into your outfits, this will help you feel like you are dressing for Fall already. I live in Arizona where the early Fall is still feeling like Summer. The way I introduce Fall Style into my outfits is to layer the fall colors together. By mixing different shades of one color will make your gear quieten but stylish at the same time.

    Add Patterns

    Even though Fall Patterns aren’t as loud as summer you can still have fun with them. You can pick a darker and moodier tone of the patterns like leaves, flowers, animal prints, and logos for one or two items in your outfit.          

    Play with Textures

    Rich textures are for winter. As for layering goes, you can mix and match your clothing textures to make you not only warm but look pretty at the same time. Velvet, suede, leather, fur, satin, knit, and cotton can all play perfectly in an outfit. You can wear a knit high-neck top with a satin midi skirt and have a faux leather jacket as outerwear. This example is a simple texture layering tip that you can use for your fall outfits.

    Longer Length

    Always remember that you want to cover up every part of your body from the cool breeze. The no brainer rule is to wear everything long, long sleeve top, long pants, long socks, long coat, and long boots.

    Think Warm

    When picking out an outfit, try thinking of an individual piece of your clothes. For example, think warm when picking out your top, which the style can be a turtleneck that’s made from knit fabric, so it can still keep you warm if you don’t have your jacket on. Think warm when picking out your skirt. You can choose a midi skirt that’s made with velvet. But if you’re picking a thinner material, you can prepare your outfit by adding a pair of tights or high socks to help to cover the lower part of your body. Make sense?

    Get Comfy

    If you’re living in a place where it has some super cold days in Fall, your outfit is going to be on the heavier side. You have to layer so many layers of your clothes on before you live your house. By adding some comfy shoes, like chunky sneakers, high-top sneakers, low heel, or platform boots will help you move more comfortable, feel lighter, and happier.

    Add Accessory  

    Adding accessories like a hat, a scarf, gloves, tights, or high socks will make your layering more fun and help add more dimensions to your outfit.

    Always Check Temperature 

    The most important thing is not to forget to check the temperature before you start layering your outfits because you don’t want to dress too warm if the weather is going to be less cold.

    Fall is approaching and you know what that means, it’s the start of the busiest time of the year, school starts. Holidays are ahead of us and a lot of parties with friends and family need to be planned out.      Life Update

    Before we get into the tips, I want to chat a little bit more about my growing family. I don’t know about you, but I feel like this year, in particular, has gone by a lot quicker than ever. Maybe because my life is surrounded by my babies. It’s not just only me or only my husband and me anymore. It’s so true when people say that time flies so fast when you have kids because it’s happening to me and my husband every single day. We sometimes don’t want our kids to get bigger because we just want to enjoy all the beautiful infant and toddler moments with them. I’m tearing up typing this right now!

     

    The other day we went shopping with my oldest daughter, she would normally be sitting in the cart and watching us shop. Now she’s helping us picking all the grocery and even picking her snacks. She’s such a big girl and a big helper. Not to brag but she’s the best daughter and the best sister ever! I got her, her first adidas outfit (adidas Toddler Trefoil Tee, adidas Children Originals Leggings, and adidas Toddler Baseline Shoes) and she can’t stop wearing them. She loves that she and I are wearing the same brand. I think I’m going to get her more matching outfits and start having her modeling kids clothing with me. Just can’t wait to start shopping and dressing her up to share all the cute pics with all of you! J

    5 Tips to Staying Active This Fall

    Drink water 

     

    I’m a sucker at drinking water, to be honest. But I’m making some changes now by making sure that I am drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day. As you know, you won’t be able to function right without hydrating yourself. My tips on how to get your water in are 1) have a 1 littler water bottle next to you all day. 2) Drink the whole bottle by noon time, refill it and drink the rest before you go to bed. This way you will get your 8 glasses in each day for sure.

    Eat more fruits and vegetables for snacks

    When going shopping make sure you get plenty of fruits and vegetables to munch on each day. Pick fruits and vegetables that you can easily snack on while working or on-to-go. Prep your snacks a week in advance in individual packages so you can grab them as you go. This way you can save more time and not need to have an excuse to pick up unhealthy snacks.

    Workout first thing in the morning 

    This is the best thing that can get your active day going, workout first thing in the morning. When working out in the morning, you’re not only getting your physical activity done but you are giving yourself a great start to your day. I found that when I wake up early to get my workout in, I am a lot more energize and ready for the day to come. This requires a lot of self-motivation as waking up early to workout is not always the easiest thing to do. But I believe in you. A quick tip is to set your alarm 15-30 minutes before your normal day starts and make it a new healthy routine.

    Easy yoga poses before bed

     

    After a long busy day, try to unwind with easy yoga poses before bed. I found that by doing some simple yoga poses like Tree Pose, Corpse pose, Reclining Bound Angle Pose, and Lotus Pose can help calm you down. Doing yoga right before you sleep will help you to get a well-rested night and wake up feeling more recharged. Find yoga poses that are comfortable for you to do as there are many of them to choose from.

    Take a deep breath and relax

    Every time you feel stress or things are starting to get out of control, doing some breathing exercises will help you to feel better again. I do this all day long. Lol! It really does help to calm your mind and body down. Try doing this, Jason Selk’s breathing technique, take a deep breath in and hold it for 6 seconds, hold it for 2 seconds and exhale for 7 seconds. After doing this you will be calmer and more focused on what you are doing.
