The tray creation process is very simple, I still recommend you to read the instructions that comes with the product. I love that they are very clever because they are sending extra putty in case you mess up with the process.
Once you’ve read all the details, you can start making your dental impression by using the impression material (catalyst paste and base paste) and the plastic trays included with your package. Mix white paste and blue paste together, mix them thoroughly by continuously folding in half until it turns into a solid blue color. The mixing shouldn’t be longer than a minute because the putty will begin to harden. Place the putty into your tray, make only one tray at a time and make the upper impression first. Remove your impression once the material is firm (2 minutes 30 seconds or more). Repeat the same step with your lower impression. Do not remove your final impressions from the trays. Place both of them in the pre-paid envelope with the return card filled out and ship it back to Smile Brilliant. You will receive your custom whitening trays within 5 business days after they’ve received your impressions. Be sure you understand the instructions completely.

I don’t have any issues with sensitivity but I could feel the irritation on my gums at the beginning of the process. I’ve read that massaging coconut oil onto your gums can help ease the irritation. In my case I chose to skip a day or two instead of doing it daily.
My first session was the shortest, 30 minutes. After the first session I added 15 more minutes per each sessions I did. The amount of time recommended for whitening gel is one to three hours per session. I use desensitizing gel immediately after each whitening session to help reduce sensitivity and prevent future staining. This process is fifteen to twenty minutes. The best time to whiten your teeth is before bed. You shouldn’t eat or drink for minimum of 30 minutes after use, that’s why before going to bed is the best time to do it.
