I’ve been neglecting my blog for quite sometime because I have had a lot of personal stuff to take care of lately. I still go out and take pictures a few times a week though but I just couldn’t find time to sit down and put my blog post together. I’ve been wanting to post this affordable and simple Spring/Summer Dresses for over a month now and finally today I have this post ready for you to take a look at all of my top simple and affordable Spring/ Summer dress picks.
A lot of dresses are from my favorite stores and are from $15 -$65. I found that wearing simple design dresses can give you an effortless elegant look. But I don’t want you to spend hundreds of dollars or even thousands to get your glam on. See below and let me know which one is your favorite!

Cute details with button front! This dress is a perfect dress for Summer because of its pretty color. It’s made of a 100% rayon which is perfect for the warmer weather. I like the straight neckline and the button front details. This dress is also $17.90 but it only comes in Green. I got a size bigger (Medium) than my normal size (Small) that’s why this dress looks a little bit big on me. I was afraid about the button front design that might cause a tighter fit at the belly area but I was wrong. If you are considering to buy this dress, just go for your normal size.
Easy to wear and helps flatter the upper part of your body! Nothing better than a strapless dress in the Summer. I got this dress because I love the color so much. It fits true to size and it’s so darn adorable!
Make your summer a little more sexy with the plunging V- neckline! This dress is flirty and has a pretty sage color. It’s very comfortable but quit short on me even though I’m 5’4”.
The tying cutout is making this dress more fun but yet still simple.

Rounding up a ton of cute slogan/graphic tees from a few of my favorite stores on the blog today. Because they’re definitely fun and comfortable to wear during Spring and Summer. I lost count on how many new tees I got from my previous shopping trip. But that doesn’t mean I will stop shopping for more. They’re just so fun to wear!
I sometimes use a graphic tee as my source of expression. Are you finding yourself doing that sometimes too? It’s such a cool and creative way to let people know how you feel through a piece of clothing. The best of all is that there are so many ways that you can incorporate your graphic/slogan tee into your outfit, which means you won’t have to think hard at all on how to wear it. All you have to do is to have fun wearing it.
Quick tip:Even though you can wear your tee with pretty much anything, the easiest paring has to be with Denim. You will never go wrong with that and you can pick denim pants, shorts, skirt, or go for a double denim day. You will be able to achieve a classic and comfortable look any day with your tee and denim combo.

I have to say that I don’t give enough credits to my husband as he’s my one and only photographer. I get a lot of compliments on my photos all the time and that wouldn’t be possible if I didn’t have my honey to take all of those gorgeous photos for me. He’s now enjoying taking pictures more than ever. He even said that he would have picture taking withdrawals if we don’t go out for our photoshoot. I think that’s a good thing so we can have more content to share with you.

Dreaming of my own makeup vanity for a long time and finally today, I have an opportunity to partner with Desenio to create my dream vanity, where now it is one of my favorite corners in my home.

I have to tell you now that I am not an interior designer, so I probably can’t give you good and proper instructions on how to choose the right furniture for your space. Even though I took a few classes in collage and have been applying some of the theories to my own home, I can only share with you my personal process on how to pick and decorate your space to make it a dream come true space.
In today’s post I will share with you my “Basic Décor Tips” I’m using to decorate my home, plus showing you the newest Vanity corner, I put together since last month.
My first thing I take into action when designing each space, is to come up with the felling of it. You can ask yourself a few of these questions below:
What’s the purpose of this space? (Relaxing, Excitement, Encouraging or etc.)
Do you want it to look modern, timeless, fun or what’s your main theme?
You will have to take some time to answer these questions just to get the feel of it. Identifying the purpose of your space will make it a lot easier when designing your area.
For example, if you’re designing a family area, you have to think in advance of what activities will you have in there. Is it just for the family to hangout and watch movies, or will it also be a place that you can host a fun party for 12, or will it be your snooze zone? If your family area is for a snooze zone, how to décor it will be totally different from arranging for a fun party. You see what I mean? Each purpose has its own feeling. Considering defining the purpose of your space in the first stage will be of big help before you choose your furniture and decoration pieces.
Talking about the era of your space, I always go for a few eras when choosing the furniture and décor accents. I feel like picking furniture with only one timeframe is too traditional and too formal for my untraditional taste.
You can see here that my Mirror and neon signs are a bit more vintage and the table, stool and my gold planter are more modern but they both complement each other perfectly.
Color plays a huge role when it comes to designing space. I love to look at the meaning of each color (aka, color phycology) to see how they connect with your emotional level. I did a blog post about “COLORS THAT GO WELL WITH RED” ,you can have a quick read if you’re looking into using red in your space.
My personal preference when choosing color is to stick with a few main colors not more than that unless your main purpose is to make the room more fun with lots of colors. The reason I only choose 2-3 colors is because I don’t want to get overwhelmed when using the space.
I used Pink, Blue and Gold as my main colors for my Vanity corner. I have to be honest with you that I actually picked the colors of this area after I decided what posters I wanted to hang on the wall. These two posters from Desenio are the two that helped me decide what colors I should go with.
Let’s talk about the meaning of colors I picked for a little bit. Blue is actually a perfect color for my vanity because it’s associated with confidence. Pink is another good one because it’s associated with feminine, youthful, fun and charming. They are a perfect combination for my vanity corner where I can make sure I look good and feel good about myself. I also chose Gold because it’s an uplifting color that represents glamour and sophistication.

Tip 3: Décor It Right
After you come up with the feels and colors it’s now time for you to pick the right furniture and decoration pieces. Despite getting ideas of what type of furniture I want from looking at pictures from Pinterest, one of my go to source to pick the right and affordable furniture is to search on Google. It’s no secret here on where to find the cheapest but yet high quality. But I found that Target has a lot of pretty furniture with affordable prices.
Quick tip: Don’t sacrifice the look and quality of products because you find a cheaper alternative of it. You might end up being disappointed and have to purchase the original item which means you have to spend more money. Just make sure you’re a hundred percent in love with the item before you purchase it.
Talking about wall arts like posters, I found Desenio is the best place to shop posters. Their posters are printed on uncoated, thick paper with a matte, high-quality finish. At Desenio, you’ll find a wide selection of posters and mounting solutions, such as poster hangers and clips – often inspired by Scandinavian style.
Some of you might think it’s better to buy a downloadable art and print it yourself. I myself did that before and it came out to be more expensive that way. Sometimes the store doesn’t even accept your products as of the copy right issue. So, if you’re looking to purchase high quality arts that can save you time and money, make sure you check them out.

Tip 4: Bring on Your Personality
Last but not least, are there any parts or personalities of yours, you want to bring into the space?
Each space in my home reflects my personality, for example, this vanity corner, you can kind of see the emotional, playful, sassy and conservative parts all at once. I want to make this space a useable and functional space and also want it to represent who I am and what I like as well.
Quick tip:Picking the right posters can help express your feeling and represent who you are.

Living an active lifestyle isn’t that easy when you don’t like physical activity at all. I grew up, singing, drawing and playing musical instruments. You would hardly fine me playing sports. The only sport I would play with my family was badminton.
If we were in a Physical Ed class together, you would find me sitting in a corner somewhere, if the teacher wasn’t strict to the max. I know you have probably seen this type of classmate like me before and you might wonder why that person was like that.
My answer is that no one is right or wrong. It’s just how you grew up, the culture you’re living in, the genes maybe, or the motivation you have at that moment.
I have to say I am more of an artsy type than a active/competitive type of person. I used to look at sports as something that will make you look masculine and I’m too pretty for that. Lol! But I was wrong.
I developed a bad habit of eating a lot of sweets, complaining about how bad I look, stressed out and ended up eating more sweets. The way I would try to loose weight was to not eat or skip meals. The results were amazing but I now have a symptom called Hypoglycemia. It’s a symptom that develops before Diabetes.
I’m not going to get into the details of my symptom because you can easily find it from google. But what I would love to share with you is what makes me start to live an active lifestyle again.
After I got married, my husband and I wanted to have a baby right away but it took us over a year to finally have our beautiful girl. My pregnancy was easy and all I was doing was eating and sleeping. I thought everything was good until I got diagnosed with gestational diabetes later in my pregnancy.
A few things that I could have done were to not eat a lot of carbs and be more active. After I gave birth, I wanted to loose my stomach so I was into working out for a little, then I stopped again. Like I mentioned before working out is my worst enemy. It’s so hard for me to be consistent. With the lack of sleep and having to catch my baby running around all day, it was getting too hard so I gave up my workouts.
Today I’m starting to get back at it again because my husband and I are planning to have another baby soon. I’m preparing my body for this big challenge. Not the challenge of carrying or raising the two babies but the challenge of being able to conceive and become pregnant again.
Since I’m not into sports, I find that self motivation and real life events can help keep you on track. Gym cloths shopping is also helpful but be careful when picking out the clothes. You don’t want to buy the ones that only look good on the models and don’t fit you. I did that and felt very discouraged and disappointed. So make sure you got the right clothing for your current you not the future you.
My husband and I put together an in-home gym in one of the corners in my office. We don’t have a big space in our house but this tiny corner will keep me going. We didn’t get any expensive workout machines, just a few weights and other small gear. I am planning to show you how my small in-home gym looks like in the near future.

I grew up using raw herbs and spices in my DIY home spa face mask and body scrub since forever (or since I was about 10 years old to be exact). Growing up in Thailand and learning a lot about the benefits of herbs and spices in Thai culinary, it’s no doubt that I always pick natural ingredients over chemicals when it comes to choosing my skincare products.
I have to say that I learned all the beauty secrets from my ancestries. I’m not sure you have heard of this before or not but Thai people have always incorporated natural, botanical ingredients in their skincare routine. It started in the Royalty and rich families long ago. The way they would do it was to bath and scrub themselves (actually maids would do that for them) with turmeric powder, tamarind (use both juice and skin), or just use a loofah to scrub themselves.
I have my own scrub recipe that I’ve been using since I was little. I would mix 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder, tamarind juice and a little bit of honey to use for facial mask and body scrub. To help soften and even skin tones.But to be honest with you, I don’t have time to make my own mask and scrub anymore since I’m busy running around with my little girl. But I’m thinking about getting back to my routine again.
Talking about botanical ingredients, over a week ago, I got introduced to a luxury skincare line called AVYA. They are a luxury beauty brand that focuses on melanin and wrinkle reduction. I don’t think you can find brands that focus on these two important areas. Most brands out there are only focus on one concern, like wrinkles.

Before we get into my thoughts, I wanted to talk about the main ingredients of these two products first. Lets take a wild guess! Alright, now let get into my review!
Starting with the “EYE BRIGHT CREAM (WITH CAFFEINE)”.
I use this eye cream twice daily and I only need a small tiny drop (pump) to apply onto my eyelids and underneath my eyes. After a week of using it, I can already see the difference. My fine lines appear to be more shallow and my skin feels softer and looks brighter.
It hasn’t reduced the puffiness yet, cause it’s only been a week and with my lack of sleep behavior, this doesn’t help the concern neither. But I’m sure if I adjust my sleeping schedule and continue using this eye cream, I know I will see the great results right away. Why I said that is because one of the key ingredients in this cream is Topical Caffeine. It provides instant reduction of puffiness by constricting blood vessels and long term removal of dark circles by reducing leaky vessels seeping blood cells into the soft tissues.
Overall, I am satisfied with this eye cream and highly recommend it for you to try.
Moving on to the second product, the “ANTI-AGING POWER SERUM (WITH VITAMIN C)”.
I use this serum twice daily as well, along with my other skincare products. I have to say that I LOVE this serum so much! Only a week of using it, I can see my skin is getting tighter, my pores are smaller and pretty much invisible. This serum has also helped with my skin discoloration concern.
One thing I’ve noticed is that I haven’t broken out once since I started using this serum. My skin is so smooth, hydrated and radiant.

I have a lot of acne scars on my chin. I can never get rid of them. They keep coming back every time when I stress or when I’m about to have my cycle. You can also see on my cheeks, I had scars from laser treatments, trying to get rid of my sunspots. I thought they would go away by now. But NO, a year later the laser scars are still there.
By using these two products together for a week now, I can see the improvement of all my concern areas. I will definitely continue using these products and might get more from this line. They are just too good to pass.
